I’ve gotten a lot of email since Tentacles came out asking if there will be a third book. You’re fast readers!

The answer is yes, and there will probably be more books after the third with Grace and Marty and the Cryptos Island gang.

Next question: “When will it be out?”

Answer: “I flattered, but the ink is barely dry on Tentacles. All I can say is that it will be out a lot sooner than Tentacles appeared after the first book, Cryptid Hunters.”

Next question: “Do you know the title?”

Answer: “No. I generally don’t come up with the title until after I finish a book.”

Next question: “Do you know what happens?”

Answer: “Yes.”

Last question: “Will you tell me what happens?”

Answer: “I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for the third book. Sorry.”

    oh my god it has been 2 months since i finished tentecles and i want to read book 3 of grace marty and luther so bad when is the book coming out!!!!!!!

    by the way, i considered reading tentacles during class, but I didn’t want to get in trouble. it would have been totally worth it though!!!i hope the third book comes out soon!!!!!!!!!

    sorry! I pushed enter before I was done. When I sall tentacles at a book store I almost had to neel to my dad to let me buy, and read the book. He finaly gave me some money to buy it. I read the book that day!
    It usually takes me a day or two to read your books. I almost have all of your novels and I can’t wait for IQ: book two- the white house to come out, or the next book of Crypid hunters( meaning the third book) 🙂

    Tentacles just came out this school year. I don’t know when the third Cryptid book will be out, but you’ll read about it here first. While you’re waiting I hope you get to read some of my other novels.

    i just finished tentacles today. it was really great! i can’t wait to find out what noah will say when he finds out hat the ship didn’t blow up, and they brought the squid in!!!!

    Hi mr smith I think you are a really good writer, you remind me of Eoin Colfer but I think you are about ten times better, I’ve only read tentacles but the second I picked it up I was hooked, I even read it ELA class:( but still greatbooks

    i love the books, but i wish both the squid could of made it. he would have had a breeding pair. i cant wait to see what happens. i hope they reveal noah for all that he really is. and with grace and the dragon spy, it wont be that much of a problem, right?

    Good luck, Mr. Smith. I’m glad there is going to be a third because I didn’t like how Tentacles ended. But I too am a writer and I understand that this was your plan to get your readers and fans to feel suspense. It makes a lot of sense. Just please hurry… I don’t know how much longer I can wait for third title 🙂

    I just think that this seris is amazing. I really like how Grace is going to blackwoods to find out more about her family but i was disapointed when the book ended and i thought they lost but no you having another book. I love your books so much that i have finished a 3 book seris of my own and i’m only 11 years old!

    Curse you! You wrote one of my all time favorite books Criptid hunters, absolutely amazing in my eyes then wait 4 years for a sequel just to leave about a quaddrillion cliffhangers….. But anyways i love this series, thanks for the long awated sequel, and thanks for the third book which is bond to be amazing

    Mr. Smith. you may know my teacher, Mrs. Tidwell. She read Cryptid Hunters to us. She told us when Tentacles came out I had to read it.Now she is reding Elephant Run, your best yet. By the way, she always talks about yoor books.

    tentacles is a great book, it was very suspensful and exciting. As soon as i finished this morning i was dying to know if there was going to be a sequal. Can’t wait for the sequal. Thanks for writing such a great book.
    The only problom was i did not get a chance to read cryptid hunters because i did not relize tentacles was a sequal until after i bought it. But the page in the begining of tentacles that gave descriptions of all the characters was very helpful to help me figure out what was going on.

    Now I usually don’t like reading, but I LOVE your books. I bought cryptid hunters back in fifth grade, and didn’t read it til two years later. My teacher told the class to read an independent book after we finish our work, so I picked a book off my book shelf. One day while I was on the bus, I decided to read the book. I could not BELIEVE what I had been missing! I LOVED the book, I told my best friend and now she loves it too! Then, a few months later I went to a book fair with my best friend, and we found your tentacles book! There was a sequel me and my best friend were so psyched! I CAN’T wait until the next book comes out!!!
